As a freelance writer my life's work is traveling around the entire country covering traditional crafts and then publishing it in the web magazine Shokunin Zukan. Through interviews I have met sensitive artists and craftspeople with amazing abilities, and I have been frequently moved by the crafts they've produced.

Wanting to share this feeling with more people and allow them to experience the same splendidness by seeing it with their own eyes and touching it with their own hands, I opened Gallery & Shop Seikyodo in Kappabashi, Tokyo in February of 2022. All of the items on display here were handpicked by visiting the places where they were made and talking with their creators. I would also like to share their thoughts on craft-making and sublime skills with everyone if possible.
